Random Post Sunday!

I thought it was time to break out some random pictures since it has been over a week since my last post...enjoy!

Cookies
Anyone who knows Chris knows how much he loves making cookies...and eating them too, of course! Not only does Brayden like to help Chris eat the cookies, but he also likes to help him make the cookies. Brayden has become an expert with the mixer. In fact, Brayden knows how to use the mixer better than I do!

Video Games
Brayden has taken his obsession of the Mickey House Clubhouse tv show to the computer! Chris and Brayden play games and print pictures on the computer for Brayden to color. He even received a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Great Driver award! I never dreamt that my 2 year old would be playing on the computer. I guess I shouldn't be too surprised...like father like son!!!

Lipstick
Grandma and Grandpa gave Sienna a cute toy purse for Valentine's Day that came with lipstick, money, keys, a mirror and a bracelet. The other morning I caught Sienna chewing on the lipstick and it looked like she was trying to put it on...backwards!

The CARS Sofa
Brayden and Sienna aren't the only ones who like the new CARS sofa...I caught Stella taking a cat nap on it!

Valentines Fun

Valentines Day
We didn't have any plans to celebrate Valentines Day, but it ended up being a pretty special day. Before Chris left for work, he surprised me with a generous gift certificate to the spa! Since the kids were still sick, I decided we'd run some errands to get out of the house. We went to the mall and then to Babies R Us to get some diapers. The kids always do great at the mall in the double stroller, but I was a little nervous about taking them to Babies R Us since I had to use the shopping cart to put the boxes of diapers in. I knew that Sienna would sit in the shopping cart but I had no idea what I was going to do with Brayden! Since I didn't have any other options, I decided I'd just have to let Brayden walk...hoping that he wouldn't run off when he saw something he wanted to play with. I was really impressed with how well he listened to me...I only had to pick him up a couple of times in order to move us along. While we were there, I saw that they finally had the CARS sofa that we wanted to get Brayden for Christmas. The cart was already full with the 4 large boxes of diapers (2 in the basket and 2 in the bottom) but somehow I managed to balance the sofa on top of the 2 boxes in the basket. I wish I had had my camera...it was quite the sight! Luckily we made it back to the car without any problems...whew!

The CARS Sofa
Brayden and Sienna looked so cute sitting in Brayden's new sofa reading books.

Of course, Sienna got bored with the book and moved on to something more interesting...Brayden!

I actually thought Sienna was going to plant a big kiss on Brayden...

But he managed to escape before things got too crazy!

And of course Sienna followed him...forcing him to find safety in higher ground!

While Sienna was upstairs taking a nap, Brayden had fun pretending to take a nap in his sleeping bag.

While Brayden was taking a nap, Sienna had time to check out the sofa, too!

Presents
Brayden and Sienna had lots of fun opening their Valentines Day presents from Grandma & Grandpa.

In an earlier post I mentioned that Brayden was on a picture strike. Unless I catch him in an action shot, this is how he "smiles" for the camera! Doesn't he look so sad????

Legos
Sienna found Brayden's box of Legos! Somehow she managed to pull the box out from under the coffee table and take the lid off...of course the legos went right into her mouth.

The Rocking Lion
We thought Sienna would have fun riding on Brayden's rocking lion, but all she really wanted to do was play with the lion's mane...

Happy 8 Month Birthday, Sienna!

It is hard to believe that another month has come and gone. It was a very busy month for little Sienna: 1) she started crawling, 2) she started pulling herself up, 3) she started cruising, and 4) she started walking with a walker! Oh, and I shouldn't forget the 6 teeth that popped through! What a crazy month! Even though all of her accomplishments are exciting, they have also been causing a few problems. Poor Brayden can't play with any of his toys without her coming over to "play". She especially loves to chew on his choo choo trains and tear apart his train tracks. I think Brayden's patience is wearing thin and I see their first real fight happening in the not-so-distant future. :(

Over the last month it has become increasingly more difficult to get a picture of Sienna...she refuses to sit still and smile for the camera! Here are a few random pictures that I managed to snap while she was playing this morning:

Sienna showing off all 8 teeth!

Sienna reading a book!

Even though Brayden is on a picture strike, I managed to snap one of Chris pushing him around the house on his airplane!

VIDEO: Sienna Walkin' With the Walker

Since Sienna enjoys walking around the house while holding onto our hands I thought it would be fun to see what she'd do with Brayden's old walker. She did a lot better than I thought she would! At the end of the short video clip, Sienna runs into the bean bag chair (which you can't see) and she isn't quite sure why she stopped, so, she gives it a whirl one more time...

Random Post Sunday!

The Car
I was browsing through Brayden's old blog when I came across a picture of Brayden sitting on his car at the same age that Sienna is now. I am always looking for new ways to entertain Sienna because she gets bored quite easily. So, I thought it would be fun to see if she liked sitting on the car! Sienna did indeed like the car and had fun playing with all of the fun gadgets...she even managed to get off fairly gracefully!

Uncle Scott
Brayden absolutely loves playing with Uncle Scott. I'm pretty sure that it's because Uncle Scott acts just like a 2 year old! haha! Brayden knew that Uncle Scott was coming over for dinner and as soon as he woke up from his nap, he said "I want to see Uncle Scott"! He could barely wait for him to show up. For 2 hours, the kids hung all over him while Chris and I thoroughly enjoyed having a mini-night off! However, I'm pretty sure that Uncle Scott was completely exhausted by the time he left!
