Father's Day!

I know this is a little late, but I've had so many pictures lately that I haven't had time to post them all in a timely manner. Better late than never, right???

Chris Father's Day Gifts
At the Play Boutique, Brayden made a "My Dad Rocks" picture frame and Sienna painted a coffee cup. I had the kids paint special picture frames for Chris, both Grandpa's and their Great Grandma (her birthday was on Father's Day). Here are Chris' Father's Day gifts:
Painting
I wasn't sure exactly how I was going to get the kids paint all 4 picture frames. I knew that I definitely didn't want them painting at the same time (it was NOT washable paint), but I also wanted them both to help paint all 4 frames. Finally I figured out that I could have Sienna paint 2 colors on each frame and then Brayden could fill in the areas that Sienna didn't paint. All in all, it worked out pretty well.

The finished products! After the paint dried, they each glued the sparkly gems onto 2 frames. All things considered, I thought the frames turned out really well. The 3 frames below are for Great Grandma, Grandpa Boley & Grandpa Macnab.
Father's Day Brunch
We headed to Eugene for Father's Day brunch with my parents, my Grandma & my Aunt Shirley. We had been to the Coburg Inn once before and we weren't too impressed. However, this time it was a completely different story. This was probably the best brunch we have ever been to. We had a nice big table in the corner and the food was really quite good!
Sienna and my Grandma (Brayden was being a stinker and wouldn't sit on Great Grandma's lap).
On the drive to Eugene, the kids were having fun calling Grandma & Grandpa Macnab on our old cell phones (they don't have batteries in them). Brayden kept saying things like "We're on our way, Grandma!". I thought it was too cute.
Both kids were so tired after brunch that they fell asleep in the car. I can't even remember the last time Brayden slept in the car! I could watch Brayden and Sienna sleep forever. There's just something about a sleeping child that is so peaceful. I love it.

After getting back to town, we headed home for 45 minutes before going to Chris' parents house for our 2nd Father's Day celebration. What a long, but fun day!
