Random Picture Post - Part 2!

Bubbles!
Brayden has always loved bubbles, so when Grandma & Grandpa Macnab gave the kids these fun dog bubble makers, the kids were really excited to play with them. Brayden didn't have any problems making bubbles...
Sienna need a bit more help. I helped her hold the trigger down...

But she just couldn't pull the trigger and hold the doggie up at the same time, without help.
Yard Work
We bought the kids a few yard tools, hoping that they'd use them to pull weeds while we were working in the yard. As it turns out, the plan was even better than we thought...we don't even need to be working in the yard for them to want to use their new tools!

Brayden still loves to water his pumpkins and peas!
Goggles
During our last trip to Toys R Us, the kids REALLY wanted to get a pair of goggles. Well, mostly it was just Brayden begging for the goggles. They were only a couple of bucks, so I decided to buy a couple of pairs...after all, I just knew that if Sienna saw Brayden wearing them, she would want some of her own. As it turns out, Sienna loved wearing the goggles! Brayden, on the other hand, put them on once and hated them!
The WALL
The other day the kids put up a "wall" (aka the CARS sofa) so that we couldn't see them building their super secret lego building! I think it is so funny that little kids think that you can't see them if they can't see you!
Clothes
Sienna has some crazy ideas about what she wants to wear. I'm pretty sure that she's not going to win any style awards. Her new favorite outfit is to wear her pajama shorts on top of her pajama pants! Oh, and throw in a size 5T t-shirt (yes that's right...I said size 5T!!!) and a Bob the Builder backpack and you have one of the most hideous outfits ever! I certainly hope that her style improves soon...people are going to think we are homeless if she dresses like this in public!
I tried to help Sienna put her backpack back on, but she insisted she could do it herself...
A few weeks ago, right after breakfast, I looked out the window and saw this huge raccoon walking along our stone wall! This was actually the 2nd time we've seen a raccoon in our yard. The last time was after dark and a mommy raccoon and her baby came into our yard!
This raccoon went straight for our cherry tree...
She climbed all the way to the top...never to be seen again. I'm just thankful we haven't had any raccoon visitors while the kids were playing in the yard!
Bible Study
On our last day of bible study, we had a brunch and the kids came up to sing us songs. Brayden and Wyatt started out standing next to each other...of course, neither one of them were actually singing!
Wyatt slowly moved closer and closer to their teacher, leaving Brayden all alone...
Wyatt eventually ended up sitting in their teacher's lap. Brayden quickly noticed that Wyatt was MIA and moseyed on over to sit next to Wyatt! I really wasn't disappointed that Brayden didn't sing...I was just so impressed that he actually went on stage in front of so many women and he didn't cry! If you know how shy Brayden can be, you will understand just how amazing this was!

Random Picture Post - Part 1

I have tons of random pictures from the last couple of months that I haven't had the chance to post. Here is Part 1 of my random picture post!

April 20th, 2009
Our first walk of the year...both kids look so big in our jogging stroller. I wonder how long until Brayden doesn't fit anymore????

April 24th, 2009
We cleaned out the office...AGAIN! This time we removed the large table/desk and moved the kitchen and tool bench out of the dining room. We took 3 or 4 huge garbage bags full of toys to Goodwill and we STILL have too many toys! We are slooooowly getting our living room/dining room back! YEA! Even better, now the kids have more floorspace in the office/playroom!
April 23rd, 2009
The kids still love forts! This particular fort takes up most of the living room...luckily they haven't asked to make this fort in quite awhile.

Here they are building the fort! Using the hammer to hammer in the nails...
And the screwdriver to screw in the screws...

Lovin' the Summer Weather!

We have really been enjoying the sunny weather that we've had recently! Last weekend we finally broke out our little wading pool for the FIRST time...the one we bought about 3 years ago when Brayden was just a baby!

The kids didn't get in the pool...they just had fun scooping the water out of it to pour into and over everything in sight. Hey, whatever keeps them entertained works for me! I can already see myself this summer sitting outside and reading a book while the kids play in the water. Does it get any better than that?

Sienna had a bubble wand and kept trying to blow bubbles after dipping it in the water!
Sienna wasn't very happy when she found a hose hooked up to her favorite source of outdoor water!
The kids have been doing a good job of watering their peas and pumpkins! They don't even need our help, they just fill their watering cans up in the wading pool!
They are such good helpers...after they watered their plants, they mowed the lawn!
Of course, you can't play outside without playing with the "bubble shooter" (somewhere along the way the kids started calling guns "shooters").
Chris cleaned up the cute picnic table that we bought last year. I still think they look so adorable playing at the table. At least we don't have to worry about Sienna climbing on the table this year!

While the kids and I were having fun playing in the water, Chris was working hard trying to clean up the patio. Brayden thought it was so fun to get sprayed by the pressure washer, that he made a point to walk through the mist every time he walked by...
After naps, the water was finally warm enough for Sienna to want to get in the pool! Even though she never sat in the pool, she still managed to get soaked! I thought she looked like such a big girl in the pool...and so cute that I couldn't pick just one picture to share. I can't believe that in 2 1/2 short weeks that she'll be 2 years old!!!

Before the warm weather hit, the kids and I went to Toys R Us to buy some cheap outdoor toys. One of the toys we came home with was this little plastic rocket. It only cost $2.99 and it has provided us with hours of entertainment! After you fill the rocket with water, you pull the pump 6-8 times to pressurize it...
Then you pull the lever back and the rocket blasts off!

Teeter Totters, Swings, & Slides Galore!

Last weekend, when the weather was so nice, Chris and I took the kids to our favorite playground. The last time we were at this particular playground was just 10 days before Sienna was born (the park was closed most of last year)! I thought it would be fun to take pictures of the kids playing so I could compare them to the pictures I took back on June 1st, 2007, when Brayden was only 19 months old!

Both kids loved the swings! Brayden wanted to go higher and higher, while Sienna started to get scared if she got too high.

Peek-A-Boo!
I kept asking Sienna to take a picture with Brayden, and she kept telling me no. However, there was another little boy there (you can see him behind Brayden) who said I could take his picture! Of course, I had to tell him that his parents probably wouldn't want me to take his picture. Apparently his parents haven't told him not to talk to strangers yet. ;)
Sienna LOVES slides! It is so interesting to see how different the kids are. When Brayden was this age, he never wanted to slide down the slides...he only wanted to climb up them!

Sienna's favorite part of the playground was the teeter totter! The first time she got on, she could not stop giggling!!!
