On Friday we took the kids to ride on Thomas the Tank Engine for the 2nd year in a row. Last year, Grandma & Grandpa Boley came with us, but this year it was just the 4 of us! Click here to check out the pictures from last year (I just love looking back to see how much the kids have changed in a year).
This year we didn't participate in as many of the extra activities that are offered at Day Out With Thomas. Sienna was on her second day of a fever and most of the activities just didn't seem that exciting since Brayden had done them all the year before. We did take the time for temporary tattoos, the bounce house, coloring/stamps, and the hay maze! The hay maze might have been there last year, but I certainly don't remember seeing it. The kids had fun getting lost and then finding their way back out..all on their own!

Thomas The Train - 2009
It was finally time to ride on Thomas!
This year they didn't have the open car that we rode on last year, so we bought tickets for the caboose. We thought it sounded like it would be the most fun because the description said that you could take turns climbing up to the top of the caboose!
And, here we are doing just that...sitting at the top of the caboose! We actually lucked out and were the last family to get a turn to sit up top (we sat up there for the last 7 or 8 minutes). Since we were the last ones to sit up there, Chris was able to jump off and get a picture of us before we had to depart Thomas. Unfortunately, Chris couldn't get far enough away from the train to show you exactly how high we were (you'll have to check out the picture of the caboose above).
Here we are waiting to board the caboose!
Sienna wasn't too excited to be on the train, probably because she was under the weather. But, as soon as the train started moving, she cheered up a bit.
This is my favorite picture of the day!
Finally a little smile from Sienna!
This year Sienna was content to sit on our laps for the entire 30 minute ride. I'm not sure if it was because she was sick, or because she's a whole year older than last year, but I was very thankful that she wasn't a squirmy worm like she was last year!
Brayden was being silly the entire train ride!
Brayden was so excited to climb the ladder to the top of the caboose. He had the biggest smile on his face sitting up so high!
The view from the top of the caboose was AMAZING!
On the last stretch of the track, we turned a corner and were actually able to see Thomas the Tank Engine going over the bridge!
Our family picture with Thomas the Tank Engine!
While we were there, we bought the kids a Thomas play tent. Grandma & Grandpa Macnab had given Brayden a Thomas playhut for his 2nd birthday, but sometime in the last year it got ripped beyond repair and got send to the junkyard. The cool thing about this new tent is that there is PLENTY of room for both kids! Can you find Brayden?
